Star Citizen Aided Dispatch
Command center for organizations that fly as a team.
SCAD connects dispatch, pilot statuses, operation planning, SOS handling, and overlay support in one external panel for Star Citizen groups.
Mission
Built to reduce communication chaos.
SCAD started from a familiar roleplay workflow. On GTA V RP servers, playing as a police officer often meant using CAD systems - Computer Aided Dispatch - to keep calls, units, and incidents under control.
The same pattern appears in Star Citizen, just at a larger and messier scale. Organizations need to know who is available, who is responding, where the operation is moving, and which information must reach every active operator before the situation drifts.
That is why SCAD is built around reducing communication chaos. Game bugs already make coordination harder; adding 20 players to one Discord voice channel can turn even a simple order into noise.

Status and presence
Operators can see member availability, active units, and operational state without switching tools.
Operations
Plan groups, slots, leaders, and sign-up windows for events that need coordination before launch.
SOS and transmit
Emergency reports and global broadcasts reach active clients and help teams respond faster.
No more TeamSpeak juggling
Split players into operation groups and contact group commanders in real time. You do not need another communication channel to issue orders cleanly.
Voice features are planned as a priority capability for PLUS organizations that actively support SCAD's development.Discord bot integration
A planned Discord bot will keep organization members informed when operations are created, schedules change, SOS alerts appear, or important dispatch updates need attention.
A later phase may help organize voice channels automatically once an operation goes live.Technology Stack
Built as a lightweight, real-time monorepo.
SCAD is split into a web command panel, a real-time backend, and a desktop companion layer. The browser interface is where operators plan and coordinate, the server keeps organizations, statuses, operations, and broadcasts synchronized, and the companion/overlay brings critical signals closer to the game.
Web command panel
React and Vite power the operator interface for status tracking, operation planning, SOS handling, and admin workflows.
Real-time server
Node.js and Socket.IO keep active clients in sync so broadcasts, incidents, and unit changes move without manual refreshes.
Companion and overlay
Tauri supports a lightweight desktop layer for in-game adjacent alerts and companion features outside the browser.
FAQ
Questions before you bring SCAD into your organization.
Why are some features paid or limited?
SCAD is designed to stay free at its core. Paid or limited features are reserved for functionality that creates external costs, such as paid integrations, WebRTC TURN server infrastructure, or heavier real-time services.
Can I get banned in Star Citizen for using the overlay?
No. The overlay does not modify or inject into the game code. It works like common overlays such as Steam or Discord, so using it is intended to be safe.
Do I need to install anything to use SCAD?
The command panel runs in the browser. Optional companion and overlay features may require a lightweight desktop app when you want alerts closer to the game.
Is SCAD only for large organizations?
No. Large groups benefit the most from reducing communication chaos, but smaller teams can still use SCAD for operation planning, SOS handling, and member status visibility.
Will SCAD replace Discord?
No. SCAD is meant to organize operational information around Discord, not replace it. The planned Discord bot should make important updates easier to follow where your organization already communicates.
What data does SCAD need?
SCAD focuses on organization data, player identity, statuses, operations, and dispatch events. It does not need access to your Star Citizen account credentials.
What happens to the money donated to the project?
SCAD is not planned as a profit-focused application. All received support will go back into development, better infrastructure, server costs, and future scaling. Right now, the app is hosted on my small home lab server, so a migration to stronger hosting will likely be needed as the project grows.
Support
Help SCAD keep moving.
Project support helps maintain infrastructure, refine the overlay, improve the command panel, and build the next tools for organizations.
